The national ‘Vietnamese Songs’ contest has been held annually since 2005 by Vietnam Television and the Cat Tien Sa Advertising Investment Co., Ltd. to honour the year’s best Vietnamese songs and musicians. The 2011 contest featured 63 songs, 16 of which were selected to enter the final round of performances. This year’s event was highlighted by the participation of many young songwriters and singers, who brought a fresh blend of vitality to the contest through their melodies.
