Finnish choir to perform in Vietnam

The Finnish choir, Dominante, will perform in Vietnam for one night only on Saturday, March 6 at Tuoi Tre Theatre, Hanoi, as part of their Asian tour.

The concert is co-organised by Vietnam Performing Arts Centre and the Finland Embassy in Vietnam.

Founded in 1975 as a student choir at Helsinki University of Technology campus, Dominante is one of the most well-known mixed choirs in Finland, and has appeared on more than twenty recordings.

For its most recent Acappella recording, titled “Lempea”, Dominante was given the Record of the Year award by The Finnish Choral Directors' Association in 2009. In 2010 Dominante participated in the recordings of the complete works of Jean Sibelius for the BIS record label. Dominante's performances of these choral works for mixed choir have been critically acclaimed across Europe.

Tickets to the concert are offered free and are available at Vietnam Performing Art Centre headquarters on the 6th floor, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District.
