Nominations for 2011 Music Dedication Award announced

Nhan Dan – Nominations for the seventh Music Dedication Award 2011 for best album, best show, best songwriter and best singer were announced yesterday at a press conference in Hanoi.
The Awards, organised by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) and Smart Media Joint Stock Company (SMJ), are presented annually to honour Vietnamese artists and singers who have made significant contributions to promoting the development of the country’s. In the ‘Album of the Year' category the nomiations are ‘Body Language’ by Thu Minh; ‘The Way Home’ by Tiny Monster Band; ‘Short Hair Acoustic – One Day’ by My Linh; ‘The Circle’ by Hong Nhung; and the eponymous album by Le Cat Trong Ly. Musical programmes being considered for the ‘Programme of the Year' are the Ho Ngoc Ha Live Concert 2011; ‘Music Space’ by Dream Studio Company; ‘LUALA Concert’ by DX Group and Music Publisher Dihavina; ‘The Journeys’ by Tung Duong and ‘Happy’ by Le Cat Trong Ly. Up for the ‘Songwriter of the Year’ are Le Cong Hai, Le Cat Trong Ly, Nguyen Hai Phong, Anh Quan and Quoc Trung. Tung Duong, Ho Quynh Huong, Thu Minh, Hong Nhung and Nguyen Thao are the nominees in the ‘Singer of the Year’ category. Winners will be chosen by reporters and journalists who specialise in Vietnamese music and presented at an awards ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh City Television theatre on February 22.
