Thousands flock to Lim Festival

Nhan Dan – Thousands visitors flocked to the Lim festival which opened on February 3, the twelfth day of the first lunar month, in Tien Du district in the northern province of Bac Ninh.
The two-day festival, held in Noi Due and Lien Bao communes and Lim hill in the town of Lim, features traditional rituals, Quan Ho (love duet) singing, and folk games such as swinging, wrestling, calligraphy writing and poetry recitals. The event’s organising board has also set up services for tourists, including a souvenir booth selling Dong Ho folk paintings, books, photos and CDs of Quan Ho singing, as well as a culinary booth introducing local food specialties to visitors. The provincial police have enhanced their patrols to reduce traffic congestion and ensure order and security during the festival.
