Nhan Dan Online - The domestic
stock market continued to witness a slight fall on the first
trading session of the New Year, January 2.
The VN Index dropped 2.28 points
or 0.72%, closing at 313.34. The total order matching volume
was only 5.3 million units worth VND 115 billion, down
sharply compared to 14 million shares and VND 350 billion of
the previous session.
Among 174 stocks listed on the
southern bourse, 70 stocks gained while 58 moved in the
opposite direction and 46 others stayed unchanged.
Foreign investors spent over VND
37 billion to buy more than 1 million shares in this session
while sold only 430,000 shares worth VND 10 billion.
HAG of Hoang Anh Gia Lai saw the
first loss on January 2, down VND 3,000 a share to close at
VND 60,000 a share.
The HASTC-Index of the Hanoi
Securities Trading Centre also dropped 0.65 points or 0.62%
to close down at 104.47.
Investors spend only VND 63
billion to trade 2.9 million shares on this session.
The market saw 55 shares
increased, 69 decreased, 24 stayed still and 20 others saw
no trade.
