Nhan Dan - The National Power Transmission Corporation (NPT) made its official debut in Hanoi on July 4. This is a one member company limited with all 100% charter capital owned by the Electricity of Vietnam.

NPT has a charter capital at the time of establishment of VND 4.5 trillion. It is an independent accounting company with four power transmission companies and three power projects management units in the northern, the central and southern regions.

The establishment of the corporation is aimed at supplying safe, stable, reliable and continuous power transmission service, ensuring power supply to socio-economic, security and defence activities and effective production and business activities.

NPT specialises in managing the operations of and repairing power transmission grid; investing and expanding the power transmission grid; providing consultancy in investment, project management and supervision of construction of grid projects.
