Construction of Phu Bai Beer Plant starts its second phase

Nhan Dan Online – The Hue Beer Company Limited has started the construction of the Phu Bai Beer Plant, the second phase.

The Hue Beer Plant was built in 1990 with an initial capacity of 3 million litres a year. In 1994, the plant formed a joint venture with the Tuborg International Beer Group (now the Carlsberg International Group from Denmark) to become the foreign invested enterprise doing business in a most effective way in Thua Thien – Hue province.

To meet the market demand, in 2006, the Hue Beer Company invested in building the Phu Bai Beer Plant, the first phase, with a capacity of 80 million litres a year and a total investment capital of VND 375 billion.

As a result, the Hue beer production capacity is now 150 million litres a year.

The Huda beer is being strongly consumed in provinces in the central region and in a lot of other provinces and cities nationwide, and at the same time, has been exported to the US, England, Canada, Australia, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos and so on.

The Phu Bai Beer Plant project, the second phase has a total investment of VND 164 billion.

This is the project with a first-class modern technology.

The plant is scheduled to be put into operation by the first quarter of 2010.

Upon completion, the Phu Bai Beer Plant project, the second phase, will help raise the total capacity of the entire Hue Beer Company to 230 million litres a year.
