Nhan Dan Online – The People’s Committee of Gia Lai province held a conference on investment promotion with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance and over 250 enterprises, investors from a lot of localities nationwide on November 13.

At the conference, after listening to the enterprises’ opinions on the province’s administrative procedure, preferential policy, potential and advantages which need to be made full use, the People’s Committee of Gia Lai province put forth the list of 53 projects and fields calling for investment in the 2009 – 2015 period with a total investment of VND 11.2 trillion.

Closing the conference, the provincial leaders presented investment licences to 14 enterprises and signed investment agreements with 15 other enterprises and investors.

Since 2005, with a lot of suitable preferential policies, Gia Lai province has attracted 147 investment projects with a total registered capital of over VND 35 trillion.

On this occasion, 124 enterprises have contributed over VND 48 billion in total to the social benefit fund in order to make a contribution to helping poor people in the province have more chances to overcome poverty and better themselves to stabilise their lives.
