Nhan Dan - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Tran Minh Tuan on July 21 officially presented an operational licence to the Electricity of Vietnam Finance Joint Stock Company (EVN Finance).

This is the 14th finance company that has been licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam.

The company has a charter capital of VND 2.5 trillion and is the second biggest finance companies in Vietnam in terms of charter capital.

The company's founding shareholders include the Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) which contributes 40% of the charter capital; the An Binh Joint Stock Commercial Bank (ABBank) with 8.4% stake and the Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) with 1.8% stake. In addition, employees working for EVN subsidiaries and related enterprises such as An Binh Securities Joint Stock Company, Ha Thanh Securities Joint Stock Company and Global Insurance Joint Stock Company are also shareholders of the company.
