Owners of fishing vessels receive supports for their offshore fishing trips.

Nhan Dan - Fishermen who are owners of fishing ships or ships that supply services for fishing activities will be provided with oil support.

This is according to Decision 965/QD-BTC on adjustments and supplements to policies supporting ethnic minority people, policies beneficiaries, poor households and fishermen.

The dicision was announced the same day as the domestic retail petrol prices have seen a sharp increases.

Specifically, fishermen who are owners of fishing vessels of 90 CV and more will be supported with VND 8 million to VND 10 million for a fishing trip and they will receive the assistance for a maximum of three times a year.

For vessels of 40 CV to under 90 CV, the support is VND 5 million to VND 6.5 million for a fishing trip and be provided for a maximum of four times a year.

Those ships of under 40 CV, their owners will be provided with VND 3 million to VND 4 million for a fishing trip and the support will be granted for a maximum of five times a year.
