July CPI rises 1.13%

Nhan Dan - The consumer price index (CPI) in July grew by 1.13% over the previous month, the lowest increase so far this year, according to statistics released by the General Statistics Office on July 23.

However, July CPI still reported an increase of 27.04% against the same period last year and CPI in the January-July period rose by 21.28% against the same period last year.

Specifically, compared to June, prices of the food and food services increased by 0.9% with prices of food reducing by 0.37%. The gold price index rose by 3.2% and the US dollar price index up 1.83% against June.
