Vietnamese and Lao State banks hook up pact

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) signed a pact with the National Bank of Laos (NBL), agreeing to help with training of staff and plan for investment as well as establishment of joint venture banks in Laos .

The two banks also discussed ways to increase their collaboration during SBV Vice Governor Phung Khac Ke's three-day visit to the country that began on May 23.

On May 24, the SBV leader was received by Lao Deputy Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh, who spoke highly of the close ties between SBV and NBL and their role as advisor to the Government in making banking and monetary policies. (VNA)
