Victims of natural calamities in China and Myanmar supported

Nhan Dan - The Vietnam Red Cross Association on June 27 organised a ceremony to present money to assist victims of natural calamities in China and Myanmar.

Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Association Tran Ngoc Tang handed US$200,000 to the Chinese Charge d'affaires ad interim in Vietnam and US$150,000 to the Myanmarian Ambassador in Vietnam.

This is the amount of money raised by many agencies, groups and individuals in Vietnam to assist China and Myanmar's victims in overcoming consequences of natural calamities.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the people and victims in China and Myanmar,  the Chinese Charge d'affaires ad interim to Vietnam and the Myanmarian Ambassador to Vietnam highly valued and expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Government, the Red Cross Association and people for giving timely and effective assistance to the victims in China and Myanmar.
