Nhan Dan Online – After the sharp reduction in the world price of gold, the domestic price of gold dropped to VND 27.7 million per tael this morning, down by VND 290,000 compared to yesterday.

The domestic gold price is currently around VND 570,000 per tael higher than the world price.

At 2 pm today, SJC gold prices listed by Saigon Jewelry Holding Company in Ho Chi Minh City were VND 27.65 million per tael for buying and VND 27.7 million per tael for selling.

The Bao Tin Minh Chau company listed its buying and selling prices at VND 27.66 million per tael and VND 27.72 million per tael respectively.

According to the Wall Street Journal, on July 27, gold for August delivery fell US$25.1, or 2.1%, to US$1,158 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was gold's lowest level since April 26 and the biggest one-day decline since July 1.
