VN-Index declined against increase of HASTC-Index

Nhan Dan Online - This week (May 25-29) saw three first consecutive increasing sessions and two declining sessions on Thursday and Friday of VN-Index on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

VN-Index gained 7.59 points (equivalent to 1.87%) to close a trading week at 411.64 points (last week’s points: 404.05). This is the sixth successful trading week in succession of VN-Index.

After one trading week, the HOSE saw 101 gained, 68 lost while 11 stayed unchanged and 2 had no trade. TCT had the highest increasing price to close at VND 148,000 per stock, up VND 30,000 (25.42%), followed by SFI, LCG, PNJ and VIC with an increase of 20-25%. Five stocks suffered the most decrease in prices were VSH, SC5, LAF, VNM and NBB with 4-25% decrease. The list of the most traded stocks were STB, SSI, PVT, VTO and HAG with the total trading volume of around 6.6-26.2 million units.

This week, foreign investors bought 15,339,664 units while sold 23,557,073 units which decreased the buying value by 18.51% and increased the selling value by 111% against the previous week’s figures.

HASTC-Index had three increasing sessions and two declining sessions to finally go up by 2.77 points (1.96%), on the Hanoi Stock Trading Center (HASTC). HASTC-Index closed at 144.13 points against the former points of 141.36.

Out of 183 listed stocks, 92 gained, 82 declined, 8 remained unchanged and 1 had no trade. The Hanoi bourse saw the biggest increase in prices of MMC, VSP, MIC, SDJ and ICG with the increase level of 14-38%. Five stocks suffered the most losses were VC1, S99, S55, SD6 and SD7 with 7-15% decrease. ACB, KLS, VCG, SHB and BCC were five stocks traded most with the trading volume per stock of 6.1-17.3 million units.
