Nhan Dan Online – A US$40 million credit contract for the Nhon Trach 2 Thermo-electric Power Plant was signed by the United Overseas Bank (UOB) and the PetroVietnam Power Nhon Trach 2 Joint Stock Company on July 29.

Covering an area over 400,000 sq. m in Ong Keo Industrial Park in Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province, the plant has a total investment of almost US$600 million.

When it is completed in March 2011, the 750 MW plant is expected to generate 4.5 billion KWh of electricity per year and contribute to reducing the country’s power shortage.
