Vietnamese bronze artefacts showcased in China

A collection of 197 Vietnamese bronze antiques has been on display at the Beijing Museum, China.

The exhibits include drums, jars, statues, jewellery, utensils and weapons dating back from the Dong Son culture (2000-2500 years ago) to the Nguyen dynasty (between the 19th and early 20th centuries). The collection was previously showcased at a museum in Nanning city of Guangxi province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Museum of History (VMH) Dinh Van Thin said that the exhibition aims to strengthen cultural exchanges and friendship between the two peoples.

The exhibition, jointly held by the Vietnam Museum of History and the Beijing Museum, will last until the end of this month. The collection will be displayed in other Chinese localities later. (VNA)
