Sculptures make ways to Hue Festival

Sculptors from around the world who participated in the fifth international sculpture camp in Hue are displaying their works at the Abalone Resort & Spa near the Tam Giang Lagoon.

Twenty-five sculptors, including eight female artists from Vietnam, have used blue and white stone this year.

Sculptors who took part in the camp came from many countries, including India, the UK, Belgium, Germany, the RoK and the US .

Ngo Hoa, deputy head of Thua Thien-Hue province ’s People’s Committee, who is also the head of Hue Festival 2008, said in addition to the 25 works, 112 pieces of sculpture from the four previous events were on display in the statue garden on the banks the Huong River .

The exhibition is free of charge to the public. (VNA)
