Vietnamese singer Ho Quynh Huong to join Asia Song Festival

Nhan Dan Online- Vietnam pop star Ho Quynh Huong will join other leading singers from other Asian country in the fifth Asia Song Festival which will be held on October 4 in World Cup Stadium, Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

The festival will have the participation of  20 singers and bands from 12 Asian countries and territories including  Dongbangsinki, Girlsgeneration, SS501, Shin Seung Hun from RoK,  W-inds from Japan, Rivermaya from the Philippines, Agnes Monica from Indonesia, Ice from Thailand and others from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Singer Ho Quynh Huong has joined various cultural exchanges between Vietnam and the RoK such as the Korean Film Festival and the Vietnam- Korea Music Exchange in Hanoi earlier this year. She also attended the Asian Song Festival in RoK in 2006.

In addition, eight bands and singers from seven Asian countries will join together in stage in a programme named Best New Asian Artists to be held one day before the Asian Song Festival, on October 3.

The festival is jointly organised by the Fund for International Cultural and Industrial Exchange of RoK and Seoul administration, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of RoK and the Korean Tourism Organisation.

This is the fifth kind of this annual festival. This year’s festival is the biggest so far. The first Asia Song Festival was held in 2004 with the participation of 9 singers and bands from seven Asian countries.
