Nhan Dan- A
Spring Flower Festival, the largest of its kind, opened at
Tao Dan Park in Ho Chi Minh City on February 8.
Under the
theme ‘Vietnam’s Flowers’, the festival brings together more
than 800 artisans at home and abroad, including Singapore,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and China.
The festival
displays more than 8,000 assorted flowers, bonsai, antique
ornamental plants, rock-garden, ornamental fishes and
cactus.
The festival
also includes many other cultural activities such as comedy,
opera and music performance, lion and dragon dances, and
calligraphy.
Ho Chi Minh
City’s Spring Flower Festival is also held in the area of
Con Rua Lake (Tortoise Lake).
The festival
will last until February 2. |
