Vestiges of 12 terracotta towers
and a quadrangular stone wall measuring 295 m in perimeter
dating back to the Tran Dynasty (1225-1400) were found at the
Hac Y archaeological site in Luc Yen district of northern Yen
Bai province.
On the 1,600 sq.m excavation site, archaeologists from the
municipal museum also unearthed two terracotta dragon heads,
pieces of dragon bodies, a phoenix head, a lion head and a
clown head, also of the Tran Dynasty.
In addition, many objects such as bricks, tiles of different
types, and decorative reliefs were discovered at the site. (VNA) |
