Ha Long Bay.

The International Co-operation Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism will organize a promotional program calling on people to vote for Ha Long Bay in a competition to select seven natural wonders of the world, according to Minister Hoang Tuan Anh.

The program includes nine events such as promoting the UNESCO-listed bay at Vietnam Cultural Week to be organized in Spain, Russia, Cambodia and Japan, organizing outdoor exhibitions of tourist destinations in public places and calling on people to vote for Vietnam’s heritage.

Ha Long Bay has fallen to the 10th place among 77 nominees in the race to become one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

The competition is sponsored by Swiss-based New Open World Corporation and will be held from now until the end of this year. (SGGP)
