The Vietnam-Spain Guitar Club has
been established recently in Hanoi by the Vietnam-Spain
Friendship Association, the Centre for the Support of Talent,
the Hanoi Conservatory and the Khuyen hoc & Dan tri (Learning
Promotion and People's Intellectual standards) newspaper.
The club will be twinned with a number of guitar clubs in
Spain to organise guitar performance exchanges and training
courses.
The club is expected to detect and foster young guitar talents
for recommendation to international guitar contests and
develop a guitar playing movement among students.
Pham Huy Hoan, president of the Sponsorship Council of the
club, said that many young players have taken part in
discussions on the art of guitar playing and become members of
the club through its website.
Pham Hong Phuong, chairman of the club, said that the club has
begun to hold regular activities at a number universities,
colleges and secondary schools.
The club plans to open in November in a programme honouring
Vietnamese guitar talents. |
