Nhan Dan- The two day international the firework competition by the Han river, Da Nang city will start tomorrow. “Dance of Fairy”, the theme of the festival, is expected to bring exciting and relaxing moments to tourists.

This is the first of its kind ever held in Vietnam. The competition has the participation of those from Canada, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Groups will give performances with impressive names such as “Dance of the Queen” and “Forever Beating Heart” from Canana; “Invitation from Malaysia”, “The Fairy” and “Peaceful and Hospitable Land of Da Nang” from Malaysia and “Dream and Love of the Fairy” and “Silky Way” from Hong Kong.

According to Senior Lieutenent Colonel Truong Chi Lang of Da Nang city, Vietnam will fire around 6,000 fireworks and during the two nights, 13,000 fireworks of four teams will enlighten the sky of Da Nang with the height of from 190- 250 metres.

Each country will perform over 20 minutes with background music  to better show off the theme of their performance.

Before the competition, a group of 33 flower boats will parade along the Han river to decorate the river in colour. When the fireworks conclude, 20,000 flower garlands will be released to the river by young girls in charming Vietnamese traditional long dress. This activity reminds visitors of coming back to the traditional river festival of Vietnamese people in the past.

Along the Bach Dang, Tran Hung Dao, Tran Phu and Dien Bien Phu streets, visitos can enjoy the magic lighting effect introduced in Vietnam for the first time.

From the event, Da Nang city is expected to attract a greater number of tourists at home and abroad in the time to come.
