Vestiges of a terra-cotta tower
with decorated patterns, tiles and objects of worship from the
Tran dynasty (13th-14th century) have
been unearthed on the grounds of Phat Lam pagoda in the
northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang.
The provincial Culture and Information Department on September
25 announced the discovery by scientists from the local Museum
and the Vietnam Archeology Institute.
Phat Lam pagoda, covering an area of 1,800 sq. m. in Trai Xoan
village, Nhu Han commune, Yen Son district, has several parts
remained intact. (VNA) |
