Pianists Silver and Garburg

(Nhan Dan Online) The acclaimed
piano duo Sivan Silver and Gil Garburg will give a performance
tonight at the Hanoi Opera House.
Silver and Garburg, two of the
most brilliant Israeli pianists, will play pieces by Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Franz Schubert and Franz
Liszt.
The two artists gave a lecture to
students of the Hanoi Conservatory this morning
Praised for their lyric
sensitivity, extraordinary inner perception and overwhelming
technical mastering, the artists’ performances have been
successful in 40 countries around the world.
Silver and Garburg founded their
duo in 1997 and within a few years became one of the most
remarkable piano-duos on international stages, gaining
enthusiastic acclaim by music audiences and critics. They have
been the first prize winners of numerous national and
international competitions both as soloists and as a duo.
1976 born Silvan Silver and 1975
born Gil Garburg studied the music at Rubin Conservatory,
Tel-Aviv University. Later they both studied Music and Drama
University in Hanover, Germany and since 2001, they have
become the university’s lecturers.
Their performance in Vietnam is
part of their two months tours to many countries in the world.
Before coming to Vietnam, they have performed in Germany,
Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Hong Kong, Japan and Thailand.
After Vietnam, they will continue their performance in
Singapore, some cities in the US and Europe.
This is the third time they have
been in Vietnam for performance, the first and the second were
in 2002 and 2003.
