Charming Vietnam Gala to tour UK

Nhan Dan Online-The 20th Charming Vietnam Gala will be organised in London, UK for the first time on March 4 and 5 at Central Hall Westminster.

The organisers – the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Thanh Nien newspaper- said the show will have the participation of a large number of Vietnamese famous singers, artists and model who will give performances imbued with national identity and the contemporary inspiration.

Apart from Vietnamese music stars including My Linh, Thanh Lam, Hong Nhung, Quang Dung, Phuong Thanh, Dam Vinh Hung and Duc Tuan, the show will also see the special appearance of pianist Bich Tra and First Runner up at Miss Vietnam World Teressa Sam who both are now living and working in the UK and Miss Vietnam World Ngo Phuong Lan from the Switzerland.

Particularly, the gala will also have the participation of the renowned UK supergroup, Teatro, the stars of London’s theatrical West End and two violinists Rebecca Knight and Dominica Anna Rosiek.

There will be performances of some unique Vietnamese musical instruments like dan bau (monochord) by Hai Phuong and dan da (stone xylophone) by Do Loc.

Beauty queens and famous models like Truong Ngoc Anh, Mai Phuong Thuy and Pham Thi Thanh Hang will don the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) on the catwalk.

According to the organisers, the Charming Vietnam Gala will be a major Vietnamese cultural event, making a contribution to promoting Vietnamese’s image around the world.

They also revealed that more than 24 UK media outlets and a number of magazines published by various international airlines have noted this large Vietnamese show in London.
