Nhan Dan Online- The Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2007 with the theme of ‘Classy Creativity’ will be held in five days, from March 29 to April 2 at Sofitel Plaza Hotel, Hanoi.

During a press conference held yesterday in Hanoi, executive director of the Vietnam Textile Corporation, the co-organiser of the event, said the week will introduce over 1,000 designs of designers nationwide over five nights. Two nights of which will showcase designs by the Viet Tien Garment Company, Garment Company 10 and the Phuong Dong (Orientation) Garment Company.

The two remaining nights will see designs by experienced designers such as Minh Khoa, Viet Lien, Thu Giang, Hoai Sang and Hung Viet.

According to Vietnam’s leading fashion designer Minh Hanh - who is now director of the Vietnam Fashion Design Institute (Fadin) - this year’s Spring-Summer Fashion Week will feature for the first time the participation of three of Vietnam’s top textile and garment companies  This, was the result of close co-operation between designers and producers. The week will also introduce designs by young talented designers such as Le Len and Minh Minh. 

The Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2007, which is jointly organised by the Vietnam Textile Corporation, the Vietnam Fashion Design Institute and the Vietnam Mode Magazine, will see the participation of 50 models from the Hanoi New Talent Company and models from Ho Chi Minh City. This is the seventh  consecutive year that such an event has been held.
