A new bird flu outbreak in southern Tra
Vinh province has been reported, bringing the number of
provinces infected by the disease to four, the Animal Health
Department announced on Oct. 31.
The H5N1 virus was found in a flock of
500 ducks in a household in Kinh Xuoi hamlet, Thanh My
commune, Chau Thanh district. 400 of the ducks have died
since Oct. 29.
The three other provinces to report
avian influenza cases so far are Quang Tri, Cao Bang and Nam
