Key targets achieved in 2009 compared with 2008’s figures

Nhan Dan - The gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 5.32%

- The production value of the agro-forestry-fishery sector went up by 3%

- The industrial production value raised by 7.6%

- The total retail sales and service sales increased by 18.6%

- The export turnover decreased by 9.7%

- The import turnover went down by 14.7%

- The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 6.88%

- The total development investment capital equaled to 42.8% of GDP

- The State budget overspending equaled to 7% of GDP

- The poor household rate was under 12.3%

Planned key socio-economic development targets for 2010 compared with 2009’s figures

- The gross domestic product (GDP) to increase by around 6.5%.

-The added value of the agro-forestry-fishery sector to go up by 2.8%

-The added value of the industry and construction sector to be raised by around 7%.

-The added value of the service sector to increase by 7.5%.

-The total export turnover to increase by over 6%.

-The consumer price index (CPI) to go up less than 7%,

-The total development investment capital to equal to 41% of GDP

-The natality to decrease by 0.2%.

-The poor household rate to be under 10%

-Around 1.6 million jobs to be created.
