Trade Union Cadres Training Centre to be built in Laos

Nhan Dan – A project on construction of a training centre for trade union cadres under the Lao Federation of Trade Unions has been commenced in the capital of Vientiane, Laos, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

The project funded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour with a total of investment capital of VND 12 billion, is built on the area of 1,500 square metres.

The centre can become an accommodation and studying place for 200 trade union trainees at the same time.

The architectural work will feature the Lao culture, at the same time, be served as the symbol of the Vietnam-Laos special relations in general and the two countries’ trade union federations in particular.

The project is slated for completion in March 2009.
