An 80-year-old woman in the southern province of Binh Duong has donated VND 500 million (equivalent to US$31,000) to the programme to provide free-of-charge surgeries for children with congenital cardiac problems.

Nguyen Thi Hung, mother of the chief executive officer of the Dai Nam Joint-stock company, has made the donation to the “Kind-heart programme” on her 80th birth anniversary.

The “Kind-heart programme” in Binh Duong province this year plans to conduct charitable cardiac surgeries on 100 poor patients with financial support of VND 50 million for each case.
