A high school named Cambodia-Vietnam
Friendship was inaugurated in Pre Polia commune, Kompong Ro
district, Svay Rieng province in Cambodia on December 12.
The school was built for a cost of US
$258,000 mostly in the form of contributions by the Cambodian
Royal Army's Military Zone 2, The Vietnam People's Army's
Military Zone 2 and various other donors from both countries.
Addressing the public at the inauguration
ceremony, Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed his genuine
appreciation for the contributions made by the two military
zones from both countries. He expressed gratitude towards
Vietnam's many efforts in assisting the Cambodian people in
the past as well as at present times.
He declared that the construction of
schools in rural areas like Pre Polia commune is a priority in
Cambodia's education public policies to narrow up the gap in
teaching conditions between cities and rural areas. (VNA) |
