Party leader calls on campaigns to focus on public aspirations

Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has called on Party campaigners to dig deep into public aspirations to help the Party and the State work out proper policies.

General Secretary Manh told the staff of the Party Central Committee’s Commission of Mass Mobilisation on June 23 that they should encourage people to take measures set forth by the Party, Government and the National Assembly to overcome current difficulties and challenges.

He called on the commission to improve their performance and the quality of the job of providing consultation for the Party Politburo and Secretariat.

It’s very important for the commission to successfully implement the campaign named “following the example of President Ho Chi Minh,” said the Party leader.

The Party Central Committee’s Commission of Mass Mobilisation has been entrusted with providing recommendations for the Party elites in making laws. The other tasks are to ensure grassroots democracy, grasp aspirations of people of all walks of life and work with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other mass organizations to launch patriotic movements.

“Achievements recorded by the commission in these tasks have contributed to the nation’s socio-economic development over the past two years,” according to the Party leader. (VNA)
