Successful trial run of water supply system from Da River to Hanoi

Nhan Dan – the Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex) has successful completed the trial run of the whole clear water supply system from the Da River water supply plant in Hoa Binh province to Hanoi.

The water pipeline, 46 kilometre long, has a diameter of between 1.5 – 1.8 metre.

After three days on trial run, the plant reaches a capacity of supplying 300,000 cubic metre of water per day and night in accordance with the approved design. The quality of water is good.

According to the project management board, the water pipeline is scheduled to be put into official operation in late July this year.

The project of building the Da River water supply system was commenced in April, 2007. After over four years, the project concluded its first phase with the Da River surface water treatment plant with a capacity of 300,000 cubic metres of water per day and night and the water supply network of 46.2 metres in length, running via Ky Son and Luong Son districts (Hoa Binh province), Thach That, Quoc Oai and Hoai Duc districts (Ha Tay province), along the Lang – Hoa Lac freeway to the third ring road in Hanoi.

An estimated total cost for the first phase of the project is put at VND 1,450 billion.
