Thai princess gives gifts to Vietnamese children

Kitchen utensils and vegetable seeds worth US $15,000 have been handed over to three schools in northern Vietnam as gifts from Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The gifts were part of a project to improve the living conditions of children and youths in Asian-Pacific countries.

Earlier, the Princess also donated more than US $21,500 to the three schools, namely the Ninh My Primary School of Ninh Binh province, Cao Son Secondary School of Hoa Binh province and Hung Thang Secondary School of Quang Ninh province.

The sum helped these schools to grow vegetables, build safe water systems and canteens for their pupils. (VNA)
