Vietnam’s reunification day celebrated in Cuba

Staff members of representative agencies and students from Vietnam joined members of the Cuban public at a volunteer working day in suburban Havana's Ben Tre village.

The activity was co-organised by the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba, to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Vietnam’s Reunification Day.

At a later meeting, the Vice President of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, Epifavio Selman, highlighted the significance of the historical victory on April 30, 1975.

He said the Vietnamese people’s victory will always stay in the hearts of the Cuban people and believed that the brotherhood and solidarity between Cuba and Vietnam will live on forever.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Pham Tien Tu, expressed the country's appreciation to the people of Cuba for their solidarity with the Vietnamese people during their struggle. (VNA)
