Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung
received Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Haruhiko
Kuroda, former Mexican President Vocente Fox and former
Bolivian President Carlos Mesa in Hanoi on July 1.
The three guests have been in
Hanoi to attend the Global Meeting of the Emerging Markets
Forum, which was opened in Hanoi on June 29.
ADB President Kuroda expressed
great impression upon the eight-point solution that the
Vietnamese Government is implementing to curb inflation. He
also shared experiences in developing financial-monetary
market.
The two former presidents of
Mexico and Bolivia appreciated Vietnam’s socio-economic
achievements, especially in poverty reduction. They also
sought for Vietnam’s experiences in this field.
In reply, Prime Minister Dung
warmly welcomed the three guests to come and attend the
global meeting of the emerging markets forum. He said close
co-operation between emerging markets played an important
role in helping them overcome immediate difficulties and
pave a way for them to sustain steady development in the
years to come.
The Government leader concluded
by expressing thanks to ADB and other donors to help hold
the forum in a practical way. (VNA) |
