Eighty years ago
today the Communist Party of Vietnam came into being, making
it an extremely important historical event, a great
turning-point in Vietnam’s revolutionary history and a
brilliant landmark on the development road of the Vietnamese
nation.
Eighty
years have gone by, the Party’s colours radiant as the
rising sun has shown the road to the Vietnamese people, to
the Vietnamese revolution to overcome innumerable
difficulties and challenges so as to firmly advance to win
the great victories
It is the
victory of the 1945 August Revolution and the establishment
of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. This is the general
result of the revolutionary movement that had continuously
developed in 15 years after the founding of the Communist
Party of Vietnam. The colonialist, semi-feudalist regime had
been eradicated in Vietnam, a new era was ushered in, the
era of national independence in close association with
socialism.
It is the
glorious victory of the resistance war to liberate the
country and defend the Fatherland, to defeat colonialism,
old and new, thus completing the people’s democratic
national revolution, implementing the national
reunification, taking the whole country to socialism, making
an important contribution to the struggle of the world’s
people, for peace, national independence, democracy and
social progress.
It is the
victory of the renewal cause for the past 25 years. Amid
innumerable challenges in which all the war consequences had
to be overcome and at the same time the encirclement and
embargo had to be broken, the Communist Party of Vietnam has
led the Vietnamese people to rebuild the country and protect
national sovereignty. With its revolutionary and scientific
nature, its firm standing on the corner-stone of
Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thought and its belief in
the strength and will power of the whole nation, the Party
has led the Vietnamese people to carry out the renewal work
for the goal of prosperous people, powerful country, equal,
democratic and civilised society and the great successes of
historic significance have been recorded.
To
celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the
Communist Party of Vietnam, we are all the more proud of the
nation, a heroic, intelligent and creative nation, of the
Communist Party of Vietnam founded, led and trained by
President Ho Chi Minh. With our profound gratitude, we wish
to express our sincere reverence to President Ho Chi Minh,
the leaders of the Party, the heroes, martyrs, compatriots
and comrades who had wholeheartedly fought and sacrificed
for independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for
socialism and for the people’s prosperous and happy life.
To
celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the
Communist Party of Vietnam, the whole nation is
enthusiastically preparing to welcome the upcoming Lunar New
Year (the Year of the Tiger). The year 2010 will witness a
lot of great national holidays that are closely associated
with the glorious historical pages of the nation, the Party
and esteemed Uncle Ho. With the great pride in the heroic
nation, the glorious Party and great President Ho Chi Minh,
the entire Party, people and army pledge to unite to
overcome all the difficulties and challenges to take the
country to advance rapidly and firmly on the road of
industrialisation and modernisation, thus building and
defending the socialist homeland of Vietnam.
