PM praises ambassadors’ role in bridging countries

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has told the new Russian and Panamanian ambassadors that they are an important bridge between Vietnam and their countries.

He also pledged to provide the ambassadors with the best conditions to help them work successfully during their working terms and contribute to furthering the friendship between their countries and Vietnam .

Russian Ambassador Kovtun Andrey Grigorievich and Panamanian Ambassador Eduardo Antonio Young Virzi paid visits to PM Dung on November 10.

PM Dung confirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to boosting its traditional friendship and new strategic partnership with Russia .

The Vietnamese Government and people will work hard to deepen the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership in all areas for the practical benefit of both countries, he told the Russian ambassador.

With the Panamanian diplomat, PM Dung said Vietnam wants to expand its co-operation in maritime, trade and agricultural fields with Panama .

To make bilateral co-operation more practical, the Vietnamese leader suggested that the new ambassadors cooperate with relevant Vietnamese ministries and agencies to carry out the signed co-operation agreements effectively.

The Russian and Panama diplomats said they felt honoured to have been given a post in Vietnam and affirmed that they would do their utmost to enhance their countries’ ties with Vietnam. (VNA)
