Vietnam plans to send about 70 athletes to the first Asian Beach Games to be held in Bali, Indonesia from October 18-25.

The Vietnamese athletes will compete in eight events: body building, Sepak Takraw, Pencak Silat, swimming, handball, football, water-skiing and windsurfing.

According to the head of the Vietnamese team, Lam Quang Thanh, the team expects to win medals in body building, Sepak Takraw and Penkak Silat.

The team plans to depart for the games on October 8. (VNA)
