Party General Sectary Nong Duc
Manh (third from left) said moral standards must be suitable
for each form of work and walk of people in each social
sector while chairing a conference to review the campaign to
“Study and Follow President Ho Chi Minh's Exemplary Morals”
on July 18.
These standards must be easy to
remember and to be performed by the public, he said, adding
they must not be vague.
The Party leader asked for
improvement on the content and form of the work by
collecting people’s opinions for officials and Party members
for its higher efficiency.
Localities and offices should
develop codes of ethics suitable to each job and group of
people, thus ensuring that the standards are easy to
remember and implement," he said.
The campaign, launched by the
Party in 2007, focuses on two topics: President Ho’s
thoughts, moral gestures in practising thrift, wiping out
waste, embezzlement and red-tape and “innovating style of
work” by Ho Chi Minh.
Over the past six months, the
campaign has expanded to the whole society, creating a
marked change, the leader said.
The Party leader praised a
number of ministries, sectors, units, organisations and
localities for their great efforts and achievements in the
campaign, including the Party Central Committee’s
Organisation Commission, the Office of the Party Central
Committee, the Health Ministry, the Supreme’ People Court,
the Government Office, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, Ben
Tre, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and the Post and Telecom
Group.

He stressed that with boundless
love and respect toward Uncle Ho, everyone should make ever
greater efforts to fulfil the tasks and targets outlined in
the campaign in the coming period, especially in last months
of 2008.
He added that the campaign
should be carried out along with the implementation of the
Party's resolutions and guidelines, the State's policies as
well as the four tasks and eight groups of solutions on
controlling inflation, stabilising macro-economy, ensuring
social security and sustainable development which were
adopted at the recent seventh plenum of the Communist Party
of Vietnam Central Committee. (Nhan Dan, VNA) |
