Nhan Dan/VNA - State President Nguyen Minh Tiret has sent a message of condolences to Spanish King Joan Carlos over great human losses in a plane crash on August 20.

One hundred and fifty three people died and 19 others injured during the accident, according to the Spanish Minister of Transport, Magdalena Alvarez.

The plane, which was bound for the Canary Islands, crashed and caught fire while trying to take off from the Barajas airport in Madrid.
