Thirty two luxury hotels in Hanoi
have been selected to accommodate delegates, media workers and
entrepreneurs attending APEC meetings, according to the
Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
Of these, nine hotels namely
Daewoo Hanoi, Sofitel Metropole, Hilton Hanoi Opera, Horison,
Sheraton, Sofitel Plaza, Melia, Nikko and Thang Loi, were
reserved for high-ranking delegations at the APEC Economic
Leaders Meeting scheduled for late November.
All of the hotels are located in
the centre of the city and are able to provide services of an
international standard, including satellite TV, internet
services, swimming pools, tennis courts and shopping areas.
They all have superb views and staff have extensive experience
in welcoming VIPs for major international conferences.
Nguyen Thuy Linh from the Daewoo
Hanoi Hotel said with its world-class services and highly
trained staff, the hotel was highly regarded by both local and
foreign visitors.
The hotel will provide special
menus to welcome the APEC guests, concentrating on
international dishes as well as Vietnamese specialties
originating from all three regions of the country, Linh said.
Boasting 270 luxury rooms, the
Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel houses a modern business centre. The
hotel is also furnished with modern equipment to host major
conferences and other events.
The Melia Hanoi has always been
considered a reliable venue for national and international
seminars and meetings. It now has more than 300 rooms as well
as convenient services.
South African Chef Jurgen Kauz of
the Melia Hanoi revealed that his hotel has presented a
diverse set of menus for the delegates.
High quality food suppliers have
been carefully selected to meet the hotel's top priority of
food hygiene and safety, Kauz said.
Built in 1901 with the
French-styled architecture, the Sofitel Metropole has welcomed
many foreign heads of state, politicians and celebrities. The
hotel has consistently been chosen as one of the leading
hotels not only in Hanoi but also in Vietnam and Asia.
Apart from these hotels, nearly
400 restaurants specialising in European, Chinese and Thai
cuisines as well as Vietnamese specialties have also been
selected to serve guests at the APEC events. (VNA) |
