State President Nguyen Minh Triet on November 24 once more hailed the APEC-Vietnam-2006 as a comprehensive success that met all set targets and praised Hanoi for its great contributions.

President Triet said at a ceremony to celebrate the successful APEC year that, through the APEC meetings, Vietnam has managed to promote the national image to the world as an attractive destination, bringing Hanoi to the spotlight for its best services and warm hospitality.

"The APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM) was wrapped up with an echo flying to all five continents," said the State leader. He added that he believed that the warm sentiments sent out by Vietnamese and Hanoians to international guests will live for ever in their hearts.

President Triet also appreciated the tight security, as well as good logistics, information and campaigning operations as the success of the entire nation, especially Hanoi.
