Prime Minister
Nguyen Tan Dung on September 1 received Prof. John Anthony
Quelch, Associate Dean of the Harvard Business School, who is
on a working visit to Vietnam.
At the
reception, PM Dung (second from left) briefed the professor about Vietnam's
economic situation after 20 years of renovation. He noted that
Vietnam was in the process of implementing four major policies
to stimulate economic development, namely a market-oriented
economy, effective state management, international
integration, and sound state governance based on principles of
democracy and social justice.
He expressed his
wish that the Harvard Business School will create conditions
for Vietnamese cadres and students to study at Harvard and
strengthen co-operation with Vietnam in education and
training.
Harvard
University has so far trained 60 Vietnamese students, most of
whom had realised their full potential, according to Prof.
Quelch.
He acknowledged
Vietnam's positive achievements in the education and training
sector. He said he hoped to enroll more Vietnamese students to
study at Harvard. (VNA) |
