The first ever pictorial book on the  60-year history of Vietnamese Government - 1945-2005, was made public on August 31 by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Publishing House and the Institute for Scientific Research on State Organisation of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Titled "60 years of Vietnamese Government - 1945-2005," the Pictorial History book provides abundant and vivid documentary photographs on the foundation of the Government on September 2, 1945 and its development through various stages till now.

The new book also provides a systematic and comprehensive history showing the country's emergence and development.

The book comprises nearly 450 photos selected from thousands of documentary photos. They include 60 photos from the VNA archives, which have never been made public.

The 340-page pictorial history book has been published in both Vietnamese and English. (VNA)
