It is deeply moved to read a valuable book entitled “Uncle Ho
with education” which is published by the education publisher
in co-ordination with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. This is a work to
mark 20 years of the country’s renovation, 116th
birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and a publication
marking the up-coming 50th anniversary of the

 The
first great contribution made by President Ho Chi Minh is that
he was successful in connecting Vietnam’s revolution with the
international workers’ movements and led the Vietnamese people
to follow the path he had experienced from patriotism to

 A few weeks back, during the 10th
National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, I picked
up a copy of Pham Xanh’s Ho Chi Minh: the Nation and the Times
1911-1946. At this time of change, modernisation and
international integration, I thought it would be interesting
to learn some background information on how the Party started
and how it was that Vietnam became communist and gained its
independence under the great leader Ho Chi Minh. |

event happened in the life of ethnic minority people of A Luoi
district, Thua Thien Hue province. They adopted the family
name of Ho Chi Minh and became the Ho. This May, more than 35

 These days, Vietnamese people
throughout the country and abroad have been carrying out
practical deeds to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the
birth of President Ho Chi Minh, hero of national liberation
and a great man of world culture. Ho Chi Minh founded and
trained the Communist Party of Vietnam, gave birth to the
Democratic Republic of Vietnam; founded and led the National
United Front. He was an exemplary international communist and
a close friend of nations struggling for peace, national
independence, democracy and social progress the world over. |

Forty years ago this May,
President Ho Chi Minh wrote the first words in the document
entitled “Top Secret” to give his recommendations for the
younger generations. |

Uncle Ho never visited Tay Nguyen
(the Central Highlands) and most of the people in Tay Nguyen
have never seen him, yet the sentiments he reserved for the
region and the people there and the heartfelt feeling of the
people living there for him are mountain high and river long,
encouraging greatly the people during the wars against foreign
aggressors as well as the present day reconstruction of the
country. |

 President Ho Chi Minh long ago recognised the significance of
developing education and training talents for national
construction and development. He said, “Reconstruction
requires talent. Although talents are yet to be many in the
country, we know how to select, distribute and use them in a
clever manner, talents will grow ever more.” |

More than one thousand original
artifacts being displayed at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in the
Fifth Military Zone reflect the passions of President Ho Chi
Minh towards the people of the southern part of the country
and the feelings of the people towards Uncle Ho. During the
months and years living in the middle of the areas controlled
by the enemies, despite being hassled, tortured and killed,
the people there maintained their loyalty to Ho Chi Minh, the
Party and the revolution. |

elements, containing in itself the strength of the nation and

In daily life, President Ho is a very simple and honest man. A
great man, a really great man is always simple and honest. A
mannered man always lacks capability; his play acting is for
deceiving people and future generations. King Nghieu, King
Thuan, Jesus Christ were simple and honest men. Lenin, Sun Yat
Sen and Mahatma Gandhi were also simple and honest men. So are
great scientists and great writers. On the contrary, Hitler
was a perfidious man. Besides Hitler, Mussolini was but a
clown. |

Tu Hoai, a Nung ethnic minority talented sculptor, is urgently
finishing a series of statues of Uncle Ho that he named “Uncle
Ho in Dinh Hoa Safe Haven” to celebrate Uncle Ho’s
birthday.

birth anniversary (May 19) was marked at a grand meeting in
Hanoi on May 18. 
More
than 100 photos selected from thousands on the late
Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh by a French photographer
are being displayed at an exhibition opened in Hanoi on May
17.
There
are at least four paintings on President Ho Chi Minh which
have been created from blood of those wanted to express their
best love to this great man.
