Nhan Dan - The National Traditional Rowing Championship officially started in the Thach Han river, Quang Tri province yesterday.

Binh Thuan secured two golds right in the first day of competition in the men's 200m and 1000m events.

The championship, co-organised by the Vietnam Aquatic  Sports Association and the Quang Tri Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has attracted 300 athletes from 12 men's and women's teams from seven provinces and cities including An Giang, Can Tho, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Binh Thuan, Da Nang and host Quang Tri.

The championship will last till July 3.
