Nhan Dan Online - The VFF has received a request from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism concerning the sending of a beach soccer team to the 1st Asian Beach Games to be held in Bali, Indonesia from the 18^th – 26^th of October 2008.

This was announced by VFF General Secretary Tran Quoc Tuan. This is the first time Vietnam joins a beach soccer tournament and the team is likely to include many members from the national Futsal team.

Vietnam will compete in 11 sports such as dragon boat, beach soccer, beach volleyball, beach handball and others at the first Asian Beach Games which will be participated by 45 countries.
